I’m a Humanistic therapist – which means I don;t believe I am the expert on your life. My job is to come along side you and understand things from your point of view. I’m a Team mate in the work, not an expert telling you what you “should” do.
I myself am neurodivergent, combined with my lived experience, and further training, specialize in working with Neurodivergnent clients. I feel that Neurodirvegence is often misunderstood, or can be the source of shame for many of my clients and what I aim to do is to help you understand yourself, and help you work towards feelings of acceptance, adjustment, and support so that you can be your authentic self, and flourish in your day-to-day life.
Along with Neurodivergence, I also intersect within the LGBTQIA+ community and am someone who aims to be as inclusive and understanding as I can. I work with many clients who perhaps need that understanding and starting knowledge, and for the therapy room to simply be a safe and non-judgemental space, that sometimes the outside world isnt.
I have many health conditions and disabilities that impact me every day. Having lived with Chronic illness for many years, And through volunteer work, I have also been chosen by many clients with similar health conditions, because I come from a place of understanding what that can look like. Working with you with things like Pain managament, and Spoon theory, again to aim towards helping you Thrive.
But thats all my work stuff, and if you made it this far, you may also want to know a bit about me as a person. I’m a bit of a nerd that enjoys Gaming, movies, and music. I’m an a creative person that also loves to bring Creative therapies into my practise. I’m an avid animal lover, and will never say no to seeing pictures of your pets, aslong as we arent distracting too much from the work we need to do.
I have always lived in, or been close to Margate, and it is my Home. I named my practise seaside counselling because I couldnt imagine ever not living by the sea. When I’m able, I enjoy going down and just watching and listening to the waves.
Hopefully that lets you know a little about me, and if I sound like a good fit for you, please do get in touch via my contact page.
